  The Denco rep was blatantly dishonest. The only reason I gave them 1 star was because they showed up, albeit late. I am a female. He didn't realize I am a mechanichal engineer and just called him to save time.
  
  The lie was that my Kinetico unit was so old that both the head and the saline plunger were bad, and I needed to replace my entire system with one of his Denco systems.
  
  I fixed the problem myself with an O-ring from Ace Hardware. The Denco rep was only interested in selling me a new unit. He told me he pinpointed and diagnosed my problem, but he didn't even bother to run a regeneration or look at the O-ring at the top of the head.
  
  Kinetico systems use no electricity and have few parts to break. Mine had probably been neglected for over ten years before I bought the house. From now on I will call a Kinetico rep to perform any maintenance.
